So Special: Music Video
Written on July 23, 2009 at 5:01 pm, by cct
In all my zaniness, I forgot to post the music video I made for “So Special” – didn’t make any money for Equality California, but I still believe in the cause.
The video features photos from the Anti-Prop 8 Protest in Silver Lake I attended after its passing.

New Original Song: cc.tran’s “Magic”
Written on May 14, 2009 at 12:51 am, by cct
Well the idea isn’t quite original, but I did want to write a song with that magical quality of love. It went from a guitar song to a uke song back to a guitar song. I’m bring my uke back…I just don’t know exactly how to yet (I suppose working on playing better should take precedent). In any case, I’m very glad to get this to a finish-y level because it’s just nice to write a happy song every once in awhile!
Album Stream: Bob Dylan’s Together Through Life (Paste Magazine)

Bob Dylan is pretty much the songwriter/musician that I want to meet. He’s such a great lyricist and his songs are so powerful – whether it spans politics, religion, or love. There’s just this earthy-quality to his work that I really love. I’m late in the game in appreciating his work (kind of happens when you’re born a few decades after…) as I first began my real exploration of his work in his album Modern Times. His most recent album after that just dropped today.
