Just want to buy? Click here to go to AmieStreet Page for cc.tran’s “So Special”.

Changed Location: I have changed the location where I place the song.  Any previous purchases at snocap will be transferred over in my donation to Equality California at my expense.

Explanation: I changed the location because looking around some more at snocap, I wasn’t sure of how much I trusted it as a site (their documentation for certain things is from 2007, for example).  I had initially put the item at another location because I didn’t necessarily want to use the situation to create “buzz” about my other music.  I’m not judging people for doing that, I just didn’t want to take away from the cause of Marriage Equality and someone possibly not buying it because of that reason.

The Gist: In any case, by moving it over to my amiestreet.com account, it’s now FREE for the first few “purchasers” and then price goes up in increments to 98-cents.  Once – hopefully – a bunch of people buy it and it clears to $5.00 (AmieStreet storage fees), I will receive a percentage of the money and that percentage will go to Equality California.

Please BUY!: Because the song is about my take on marriage equality, I have decided that anything I make from it will go to Equality California (http://www.eqca.org) and the fight for marriage equality. Whether or not you like the song, it’s only 98-cents OR LESS! So please help out this great cause by purchasing the song!

Lyrics Below:

So Special (cc.tran)

You can wrap your arms around me
I can give you a kiss
We can wear rings of gold
And declare to the world this is it
And anyone could say
That we were right or wrong
But we have the choice, we have the voice,
to say we belong

Chorus
But what makes us special?
What makes us more real –
Than other lovers in love
Just the same?
What makes us so special?
That people could hold claim
That others shouldn’t have it –
What so many throw away

Love one another
Words I abide
Golden rule
In a collective denied
I know that you love me
And that’s all I need
But we have the choice, we have the voice,
to say we belong

Chorus

Bridge
What if the tables were all turned around?
What if we’re the separate side of equal?
Our choice, our voice, was someone else’s sound?

Chorus

But we have the choice, we have the voice,
to say we belong
